Looking ahead to marketing challenges in 2025
The marketing landscape is constantly changing and 2025 looks set to have its share of new directions to navigate. It will be interesting to see which trends are at the forefront of people’s minds as we look to nail down strategies for the year ahead.
Chris Littley, our head of production, said: “I’m really looking forward to the B2B Marketing Expo. The highlights for me are probably going to be chatting to people in the industry and really getting to understand what their challenges are.
“Attendees should come and speak to us because we come up with new and interesting ways to tackle challenges you’re facing right now, as well as having lots of great ideas for things we can do in 2025 to really ramp up your marketing.
“Going into the new year, I think a lot of people are going to be focused on AI and what that means for marketing in general. What I think is going to be one of the biggest challenges next year is cutting through the noise.
“If everyone’s using the same tools and the same tactics, how do you stand out from the crowd? Ultimately, it’s all about how we can differentiate your brand from its competitors to demonstrate your unique offerings.”
Throughout the Expo, we’re going to be canvassing opinion about the biggest marketing trends on the horizon in 2025. You can fill in our Future of Marketing questionnaire here and receive a free download of the resulting whitepaper after the event.
Making connections with leaders in the world of marketing
The Expo offers a rare opportunity for so many people from the world of B2B marketing to congregate in the same place. The guest speakers and structured sessions are designed to tap into the zeitgeist and will undoubtedly spark some interesting discussions throughout the event.
Nico Eller, design lead, said: “I’m excited to connect with B2B marketing leaders and discover the latest trends in the industry. We want to know what you’re all up to and how this might change in 2025. At Axonn, we can really help to make your business stand out in today’s market and we’re always up for a good chat!
“I reckon one of the major challenges from a creative perspective for 2025 will be recognising AI-generated content online versus human-generated content. I’m really curious to find out what’s out there to help overcome this issue. This will be important for both businesses and audiences, who will want to understand how the information they’re consuming has been created.”
Learning innovative marketing tips and tricks
To stay relevant, it’s crucial to find out how everyone else is approaching marketing, so the Expo is an important event for any agency. We have a wide range of perspectives and skill sets internally, but we’re also keen to hear other viewpoints.
Maria Small-Smith, account manager, said: “I’m looking forward to meeting interesting people at the Expo later this month. It’ll be good to hear fascinating conversations, topics, talks and also learn innovative tips and tricks. I feel that we can learn so much from other people, so it’ll be fun to meet these people face-to-face and get an understanding of what we’re feeling as a marketing community.
“These events can be quite overwhelming, because there’s so many people in attendance. So, I feel like you can come and talk to us about everything you’ve heard in a relaxed and chilled out way. We love to learn and are receptive to your ideas.
“In 2025, we should be cutting the BS. We need to be thinking about more authentic marketing strategies next year, which lend themselves to audiences feeling they can relate to brands and their messaging. Content must be more engaging and realistic, as well as ensuring people feel heard in our marketing.”
Exploring where video will sit in the marketing mix next year
Video has long been heralded as an important part of the marketing mix, especially in the age of social media, but in recent years, it’s been used dynamically across multiple platforms. Where the medium will go in 2025 is still to be discovered, but it’s certainly not going away any time soon.
Rodrigo Sousa, video team lead, said: “I’m really excited to connect with other industry leaders at the Expo to discuss how video is transforming B2B marketing and see what innovations others are bringing. Come and talk to us. We know how to craft video content that grabs attention and drives real results for B2B brands, so we should be your first stop to discuss video projects.
“Traditional video formats are being challenged by the rapid shift to short-form, mobile-friendly video in B2B spaces and keeping up with this trend is one of the biggest challenges for video at the moment. It’s fascinating for us and we’re ready to help businesses make this work for them.”
